Lieutenant Isabel Castillo

History

Isabel hails from San Antonio, Texas and is the first generation daughter of two Mexican immigrants. Isa's parents own a small shop touting tourist-friendly attire and tchotckes across from the Alamo Mission. All of the family's children have worked at the shop at one time or another.

Isabel is the oldest child of 4 and the only daughter. Her parents, though supportive of her military career, have regularly given her grief about choosing the Navy over the Air Force as Lackland Air Force Base is nearby and might have offered a chance for Isa to stay closer to home and visit more frequently than life in the Navy. Whether that is true and accurate or not is a point of periodic familial contention.
